 In March 2016, the world’s focus was taken by the Go matches between Google DeepMind’s computer program Alpha Go and Lee Sedol. The 4-1 victor was AlphaGo, however, who is the victor we applaud? (however, for whom do we play the victor’s anthem?) Humans develop technologies, and technologies expand on our thoughts. Then based on those thoughts, we further develop the technologies, forming a complementing cyclic effect.

 With such understandings, the matches can be considered not as a competition, but rather as a duo between technology and humans to perform as one. Using Max/Msp tool, a program was made to produce sounds depending on the coordinates of the Go pieces placed. The above video is a musical remake of the 4th match. One can also make their own music by playing Go.
